Omi Iyo is the Yoruba word for salt water, where Yemaya resides. The saltwater oceans, seas, and lakes are where she rules and governs. She is the spirit of the sea, present in the ocean water with a nature that resembles the sea's profound, beautiful, endless treasures and generosity.

Yemaya is one of the most powerful Orishas. She is the mother of all living things, rules over motherhood, and owns all the waters of the Earth.

Symbolism:

• Turquoise induces clarity and tranquility, and encourages communication & self-expression of one’s deepest truths.

Chakra:

• Throat is the ability to verbalize. Expressing truth through the power of the spoken word. Stimulates the ability to communicate one's deepest truths.

Each waist bead is made to order by hand and customized to specifications indicated in each order including measurements, type of closure, and charm placement if applicable. When ordering multiple waist beads, measurements should vary at least 1/8 of an inch in difference.
